In 2001 with the creation of the Take A Kid To The Course Week, this arm of the NGCOA Canada is working to market golf to all demographics and striving to create more opportunities, both within NGCOA Canada initiatives and in cooperation with the National Allied Golf Associations (NAGA), for everyone in Canada to play this great game.

The NGCOA Canada continues to reach new golfers through the Take A Kid To The Course Week. During the 2009 campaign, over 620 facilities participated allowing tens of thousands of golfers to take advantage of this FREE player development program.

Golf Course Responsibility
Offer one round of free golf to kids 16 and under who are accompanied by a paying adult. Additional programs such as, but not restricted to free range balls, food and beverage discounts and parent-child tournaments are encouraged to further strengthen the
program. Please note that restrictions can be imposed on both times and dates and are at the discretion of each participating facility.
