Unfortunately, the number of golfers in Wales has been decreasing for the last 12 years. Since 2000, the growth rate has been negative and the number of golfers is only decreasing. 2008 was an exception with a growth of 0,85%, however, it was not enough to be above the European  growth average in 2008. In 2011 the growth rate reached its lowest point since 2000 with -5,99% and in 2012 the growth rate increased with -2,81% still below the European average of 0.65%
