Spain has had some very good years, looking at the growth rate. After a poor year in 2009 with a decrease of -4,75%, Spain returned in 2010 with an excellent growth of 11,52% and a total of 338,160 golfers. In 2011 the growth of golf in Spain suffered Europes hardest times and its numbers of players decreased with -2,86% compared with 2010. For the year 2012 the numbers of golf participants decreased but the growth percentage increased to -0,97 compared with 2011, these are not optimal results for Spain.  Forecasts for 2013 show more negative numbers for the growth of golf in Spain.
