Norway reached a high peak in 2004, with a total of 125,000 golfers and a growth of 23,08% compared with 2003. However in the years after this, 2005 - 2012, the number of golfers has slowed, with some negative growths of -2,40% in 2005, -2,32% in 2007 and -0,50% in 2009. In 2010 Norway was on the green with a growth rate of 3,11% above average for that year. However, in the following years 2011 and 2012 numbers started to decrease leaving Norway with a growth rate of -6,11%, a negative number that influences on the European average of 2012. Since the year 2000 Norway has shown a very irregular growth with many ups and downs. Finally, the forecasts for 2013 show a decline in numbers of participation in Norway.
