The second strongest golfing nations in numbers of golf participants is Germany. As can be seen on the graph above, Germany has always been increasing its numbers. However, in 2011 the growth rate of Germany as well as in other countries worsened due to the harsh time golf in Europe was passing through, growth went from 4,20% to 1,80%. In 2012 the number of players increased as well as the growth rate to 2,37% leaving Germany far above the European average of 0.65%.
