England is also one of the countries where the number of golfers is decreasing. In 2000 the EGA counted 868,966 golfers, compared with only 761,335 in 2012. The growth rate in England is still below the European average 0.65%. Although, England's growth rate in 2012 went from -3,54% to -1,98, the forecasts for 2013 show again a decrease in numbers of participation.
